Meal copy2

There are few things more satisfying to the soul than smelling the deliciousness of fresh baked bread that just came out of the oven or sitting down to a home cooked meal after a long, hard day. Let’s face it, we are a nation of “foodies” and meal time is pretty much a free for all these days. From Door Dash to You Tube University, if you want to eat, there are million ways to feed your belly.

The design of meal time looks a lot different than it did in years past. There was a time when the latest “gadget” was the microwave oven. So many of us probably remember looking forward to the TV dinner mom just prepared which was complete with protein, veg & even a piping hot dessert. Even those meals are now so much more sophisticated, offering a variety of options.

And can we just talk a moment about the billion ways to prepare meal time? Walking into a home goods store can give some people a panic attack. It’s easy to get overwhelmed at the gadgets, shredders, peelers, dicers and slicers that are available for purchase. You can hard boil eggs in five minutes in your Insta-Pot or you can whip up some fries in your air fryer in minutes. Sous vide you say? No problem!

Of course, not everyone gets excited about cooking and preparing meal time and for you, there are a multitude of options to choose from like specially prepared meals delivered to your doorstep, carry out, online ordering, even virtual grocery shopping is a thing, which has become quite popular over the last few years.

But if you are always looking for the latest cooking craze or wanting to show off to family and friends, You Tube, cooking channels and downloadable videos are the way to learn just about anything related to cooking, baking and all things in between. Today we have at-home cooks showing off their skills in TV competitions, starring in their own You Tube channels and showing the world how to prepare the perfect pork, smoke the best brisket or bake mouth-watering muffins.

And if you’re really looking for adventure, why not forage for your own food? Yep, that’s right, the latest craze in Sweden is you can reserve a spot at the “largest restaurant in the world.” Pick your picnic table, “hunt” for the food yourself and cook it right there! What a wild way to experience dinner!

So needless to say, pretty much any kind of meal time design is literally at your fingertips however you choose to feed your soul… and your tummy! Boun Appetito!
